You said your dog is reacting with dogs And people yeah Everyone okay hold on to her let me see Yeah just hold on Okay then let her go Stay walk away from her a little bit Come She’s kind of like trying to fit i’m Giving a little bit of time because if i Apply too much pressure right now she Can flick out more Um so i’m gonna slowly once she settles Down i try to apply pressure because What i’m trying to do here is establish That we apply pressure to be able to Communicate with here See right there she doesn’t know what to Do with herself but she responded to the Pressure so that’s good so the same Thing when she settles down a little bit Here I release the tension But even when she thinks about like Doing anything else if i restrict again With pressure just a little bit of a pop And when she settles down i thought she Released she needs to learn to get into The pressure because that’s what we’re Going to do To communicate with her when she’s been Doing something wrong So she’s sure i’m sure you can tell She’s like kind of threatening my hand So the first thing that i just kind of
Like just sensitized them but it has to Be a little bit at a time Because She’s not used to it right so when was The last time i strange attached her in The Head even let them come Close so the way that she’s reacted with Me is she feels like whenever for some Reason she wants to scare them away it Could be the situation it could be what They’re wearing what we’re gonna do is Desensitize her so that’s why it doesn’t Matter but she feels like she can show Aggression and scare them away because It works right so when it doesn’t work Here and i go to touching her she’s Going to feel like she’s been We’re trespassing you know because she Created this like no trespassing line And i trespass that and i’m going to her Which is trespassing even further so i Drew a little bit because she might React now she’s getting a little Desensitized she’s getting more relaxed But the first few times you can tell i Do it really really lightly and then Once you realize it’s okay i can start Doing a little more Good she also has a little bit of Anxiety with you you know so that Doesn’t help Come Good girl
So see when she does a lot of piles in There it’s for not knowing what to do so If i keep my hands there a little too Long she’s most likely going to be Reactive because she doesn’t know how to Handle that situation so the only thing That she knows is i can scare them away By showing aggression and when they’re In that mentality they actually go as Far as trying to bite because it works You know She thinks it works it has been walking So far so yeah i’m gonna move her way This way you can come with me just keep A little bit of space behind No How long have you had her uh a year and Six months Okay and how old is it Okay so we got her a little bit older Already like not a tiny puppy Okay Okay so she wasn’t socialized Yeah i can tell she’s like insecure you Know and that causes a lot of the Problem uh so the first thing i’m gonna Do now is switch her collar she needs a Different type of collar um A prone collar because what you need is Something that gives the direction you Know i don’t want to put it on her right Away when she’s pulling like this Because she doesn’t have any boundaries With the leash that’s why she throws
Herself and that’s why it’s so hard for You to hold on to her so what we need to Do is put uh the prone collar and i can Start giving her directions on what we Expect from him Good girl Okay so this is pretty good So what i’m doing is letting her get Used to my scent For the fact that i’m patting her and She needs to realize it’s a stranger and That it’s okay it’s safe now because she Doesn’t know that she could snap and That’s why i do it ready to be able to Redirect you know my hand if i needed to Sit Good girl Okay so with this one i have to go a Little bit slow just to get her Used to the fact that she has the collar On Because at first what this color does it Send them a lot of signal so when she First feels it she might freak out Because think about it she’s used to Just choking herself out and nothing Communicates with her you know so look How much tension is on my arm if she Puts that much attention on the prone Collar it’s not even going to hurt her But she’s going to feel it you know Sending signals and she’s going to freak Out because she doesn’t know how to Respond to that
Good girl okay so her body language is Changing now so she’s becoming more like Welcoming to me being here i have to Watch because every little different Part of her body could trigger her Because a dog that is being kept like Thinking that they can scare people that They feel as a threat away from them she Really feels like she has to do that so When i’m here It could be like a shocker to her you Know and she doesn’t have enough time to Process what’s going on and she could Try to bite so once she tells me that It’s all good it’s all good like she’s Okay with this but if i touch her paw For example that could be like scary That could scare her and it could be a Trigger Good girl all right So as she starts to like warm up i Thought she also relaxed more next to Her and always prepared that if she does Something i can hold on to her and stop Her First thing that i drew now that the Call is on and this is really important When you thought she was a prone caller You want to make sure that you’re doing It correctly right if you just throw a Prone collar on her and you hold on to The end of the leash she’s going to get Traumatized by the collar So right now
It’s a little bit of pressure I don’t even have the leash hook to the Collar yet because i want to be able to Do a controlled pressure and i need to Be able to release like this when she Feels it’s too much i have to be able to Let go Sit Sit Yes good girl So kind of right there i’m trying to Reinforce a command i reinforce a set The moment she did i released it but i’m Ready to let go if she feels like it’s Too much tension and she doesn’t know How to do what to do with it now again If i’m going to try to turn her this way What i’m teaching her is to basically Give into the pressure and respond with And go with it instead of fighting it Because that’s what she’s been doing When she’s leaning at the end of Deletion poorly she’s fighting the Tension on the leash so here we go Turning her around good girl Sit Yes that was much better Then go this way So right there that’s when you have to Let go and then we start it will start Right over because she knows that the Color is getting her attention so the Reason that it bothers them is because It’s something really effective that
Does communicate with them it’s okay Good girl Come Sit And then after that one time he said she Actually starts to respond better we’ll Do the same thing Go that way right now her mind is Telling you to go telling her to go to You right so when i try to reinforce and She goes somewhere else it’s a little Frustrating to her come Good girl Yes No So sit right there i’ll let go because i Know she’s going to panic now this is a Habit that she developed already because She’s used to getting away with whatever She wants so i should jump something Like that If eventually i’m gonna be able to stop It right now i’m letting her just Because there’s a lot of things we’re Working on at once but every time you Let her do that she does it more Confidently that it works and she’s Going to bite his leave she’s going to Jump on you she’s going to cry she’s Going to throw herself on the ground all Those things she feels like he works to Avoid whatever you’re asking her to do Come Come yes good girl
Okay so now i’m gonna hook up hook her To the leash i still have on her neck as Well as a backup in case i need to let Go Come Shh No Come So see right there this time i’ll Actually already hold onto it a little Bit longer because i don’t want to think That she can just do that to avoid Doing what i’m asking her to do which is Basically just walk with me right now And she’s trying to get away and walk That way Here Yes good girl Good Here So that way that was pretty good because You can tell she’s hesitant But she thought about it for a second You can see her looking and it’s like Should i jump on him or not because when She jumps on me i applied a little more Pressure so same thing here she doesn’t Get anywhere and we’re going to continue To walk in the direction we’re walking Good girl and when she gives in i reward Her by telling her good girl and i Release the pressure that’s the most Important thing so then she knows What we are asking from her
Sit Good and then releasing the tension so The same thing when she responds we want To make sure you release that pressure So she understands that that’s exactly What we’re asking from her Now i’m going to go ahead and walk her Closer to the other dogs Because while we decided to establish What we expect from her so same thing Every time she wants to pull he said i Pull her back closer towards me And then she responds i release Hello [Music] [Music] Come Sit Yes good girl Good So same thing with her yeah have her Closer to the other dogs if she thought She’d look a little unsure i have to be Able to go ahead and redirect her As she gets a little more comfortable With the prone collar because again We’re working on multiple different Things when a dog is just reactive We’re focusing on that she also needs a Lot of leash manners and obedience Training in general and confidence build Building so there’s a lot of things in One Come
So outside of the dogs we want to work a Lot on obedience meaning she stops when I stop relaxing controlling herself next To me so you see how she’s no longer Facing around when i move here And then stop Sit I have to be able to reinforce how do You think it just thinks if i tell her Sit i have to be able to reinforce it so I’m saying one time twice at the most And reinforcing it she goes down that’s Not what we ask from her we keep Repeating this exercise sit Come On So we have to keep repeating this Otherwise she’s going to learn when we Say sit she gets uncomfortable just goes Down i don’t want her leaning on me so I’m going to move her around again this Is all lack of Lack of training and confidence that’s What she’s doing here see she doesn’t Know what to do with herself so it’s Really important it’s going to go Forward no Come Come Oh this is her trying to fit it’s okay Good girl And see how she’s doing she’s doing that All on purpose using her porch to hold On to the leash now in a situation like
This if you don’t know what to do she Wins she’s going to do this every single Time because it works it stopped me you Know what i mean so you can’t let it Stop you the way with you is always Going forward keep moving her forward She’s gonna have Now she’s gonna have no choice but to Move forward and after she attempts this A couple of times and it doesn’t work She’s going to stop trying come Yes good And then we go back and we practice the Same exercise again because again it’s All in the mindset everything is the Same thing here if she thinks that she Does this whenever she doesn’t want to Go that way and he works she’s always Going to do that and she’s going to try Hard and hard and harder because she Feels confident that he works If i stop her the way that i did two or Three times she’s never going to try to Do it again because he wasn’t successful They’re pretty smart they know that Doesn’t get me anywhere might as well Stop i’m wasting my time so same thing She doesn’t want to go that way she want To stay with you it’s lack of confidence She’s not very stable so this is Teaching her come Good girl Let’s go yes Good
Come So one more time and then that’s good I’ll pass her to you I didn’t slow motion in a way when i was Explaining to what i was doing but when She does that you want to be pretty Direct with going fast forward that way But you have to do it calmly as well you Don’t just panic and keep pulling her That way she’s gonna flip out instead of Slowly search up like pressure walk step A few step backwards and then you call Her like this and this invites the dog To come to you Come Yes good girl Cue As she becomes more confident on the Leash in general and with the prone Collar it’s gonna become a lot easier Because she needs to learn just leave it Stay Sit you know heal when she knows all Those things and she’s doing pretty well And a dog comes up and you just have to Tell her leave it and then Maybe reinforce it a little bit she Already kind of know what to expect and She knows what to expect from you as Well you know because if she doesn’t Listen you’re going to be able to Reinforce it I’ll pass her back to you the main thing Right now be really careful with the
Amount of pressure see how she she gets Confused there she gets closer she Normally just pulls towards what she Wants so she tried to do the same thing So you can tell she felt the collar and If it restricts her it stops its Boundaries limitations she feels that She doesn’t know how to handle it at First it was the first time now she Knows to watch her steps as i get closer To you come She doesn’t just charge all the way There sit and she wait for you to come Here And grab the leash from me Because No Wait hold on so you take the leash after She waits So self-control right there see she’s Trying to fit again Because it’s a new situation she usually Does just does that at her face now We’re making her do at our pace Sit Let her settle down And then walk towards us no Wait And this is gonna build more and more Confidence as we do this ah not Confidence but um Patience self-control It was a little better okay now relax Your arms start to give her directions
With the leash pull her down So here you wanna immediately like nope Correction and release Now try to guide her to your left side See how the mod you have to be careful With the amount of pressure you’re going To do really slowly see how you hold Really with a lot of tension so right Now she’s doing great put her in a sit So you’re going to pull pull up sit and You slowly increase the amount of Pressure And remember you’re trying to learn to Use the leash to give her directions With the leash so right now see how She’s laying down there’s a lot of Attention release it now going to go Forward So you’re going to release that if you Need if it’s too much tension and slowly Drill like little tags Whenever you feel this here pull back That’s tension on the leash pull her Back What i mean by pull back is going to do A little firm tug like this it’s pretty Firm because then you drew her a few Times and she knows already what to do You know if you do a little bit and You’re kind of hesitant you’re going to Have to actually do a lot more in the Long run it’s going to be that constant Having trapped like pressure constantly Well she’s getting yeah she’s getting
Used to feeling tension all the time she Doesn’t really know why if you do a firm One time it just tells her You know what exactly what he expects From her Once she relaxes a little bit make sure You release the tension so pull back Firmly right now pretty firm and then And then keep walking All right now bring her back Now release just perfect when she’s Doing good like this there’s no tension But you’re watching her And then if you see she’s like getting a Little distracted just remind her to Stay close to you now stop she looks Good put her in a seat So you can tell her like sit sit Yeah and then release good we’re gonna Get bad and better because we want to Have a position this way eventually but Right now you guys are both learning so Every little bit of progress we give Them credit Bring her back And then just go all the way straight i Want to see you passing by the Distractions really release Your arms relax your arms And then just pull her back you know if You need uh to remind her hold her hold Delete a little closer to her collar Perfect right there Then bring her back one more time
And then right there do i sit And then release release attention good All right how is she doing today she’s Doing so much better what did you come For what type of training she’s an Aggressive dog With people and dogs both yes And what did you learn today um how to Redirect her mostly And How to Be more firm with her what type of new Things did you have to start using today Um i definitely got a new uh Collar wrong collar and i learned this Marvelous leash Instead of the one i heard and now we Have some really good distraction going By You know and it’s really important that They’re able to To keep your dog under control you know That can be threatening So she’s doing good So i got that i hope you leave and Redirect her Perfect That was good so turn her around again I know right now you know it’s all it’s A lot of new things so she did really Good but eventually can even draw where She doesn’t even turn around She follows right through with the Directions so that was good
