Communicate with your dog so down You know I’m not paying you we’ll be Here all day baby You don’t want to get wet in the grass We’re not getting paid till you do it That’s what’s gonna happen speaking of Hand signals There You Go Bubba Speaking of so let’s let’s see what my Boy does with hand signals so the Question was Can you use hand signals to teach your Dog or communicate with your dog and by The way visual signals is the number one Way to communicate with your dog number One way in fact what most get wrong in Dog training Probably one of the number one things They get wrong in dog training is trying To Overlay a verbal command Uh way too early way too early we’ll Spend two or three weeks perfecting a Command before we ever even use a verbal So the the Saying is don’t name it till you love it And um Let’s say I wanted to teach him how to Do a spin right so let me show you What’s going to be and I wanted to use The command spin spin spin He knows how to rotate into a heel but He doesn’t know how to spin so I could Say spin Spin
Spin he don’t know what the hell I’m Asking him to do so if I sit there and Keep throwing commands at him verbal Commands I become a background noise I Become like the lawnmower over there That’s running or the Birds squawking in The tree your dog will think you have Tourette’s So don’t sit there and give a thousand Command log before they even know what The command is now if I wanted to teach Him to spin now it’s to your point about Hand commands We just get him to Sin right Then when that’s looking beautiful And we’ve done hundreds or thousands of Reps yes and it’s looking like clockwork Whether he’s spinning clockwise Or counterclockwise Then we can name it and then that Becomes Your hand command Yes So Hand commands is what it’s all about It’s not even about being fancy like my Dog has hand commands if someone told me Like that that they were bragging Well my dog has hand commands it’d be Like well no it better have hand Commands because I don’t know that’s that’s like ABC’s Man
If your kid knows how to read right you Gotta I don’t know you got a kid in like 10th Grade and you’re like my kid knows how He knows his ABC’s like Good he better know his ABCs because how Else he’s supposed to read so yeah it’s It’s very ideal that your dog has hand Commands because again that’s kind of Like their mother language and what I Mean by that is dogs are much more Visual Learners than audible Learners You think about two dogs when they meet Each other They don’t go woof woof They don’t talk back and forth in fact We brought another dog out Thanos Wouldn’t say one word to the other dog Verbally physically they’re going to Have a lot to say Um position and and tail wagging and Posturing and going low to play a lot of Communication happening all visuals so Dogs are incredible visual learners But horrible horrible uh audible Learners Down Yes I guess he finally remembered what down Is Free Go Get It Bubba I don’t know how it’s so hot and sticky Out man here we are what

Why is the place board upside down Um because I was actually using it to Just throw food on there I’m not really Using it as a place board it’s because I’m throwing foods to get freeze because I was working him on on recalls I’ll Show you Free So I’m freeing him and I need to throw The food to get him off of me I’m just Literally using it as a landing pad for My uh for my food because if not The food gets lost in the grass and then He goes hunting for it and Messes up your Rhythm so if uh we were Out on the street or something I Wouldn’t even be using a place board But oftentimes we do introduce dogs and Puppies to the place board upside down Because it’s a little less intimidating Um not that the play sports intimidating You wouldn’t think but some dogs very Wary of climbing on it And so we started upside down Free See lost that one Hit right on the edge now he’ll be Hunting for it and come back to haunt me Later That he just found it Oh yeah Here He is getting lazy today He’s gonna go take a pee break
Try not interrupt my man when he’s Peeing and pooping So if you got any questions uh we got a Few minutes to answer and then we’ll Bring out Let’s see who can we bring out Go back Yeah give me um give me Echo you good Free Yeah so this is Thanos he’s a Two-year-old Connie Corso he’s um Probably like 120 maybe 125 pounds I think he’s at a really excellent Weight uh meaning for his size As soon as he finished his peeing I’ll Bring him back over I mean he’s not he’s not overweight he’s Not underweight Um Thanos here We’re talking about you Bubba so I think He’s a pretty good looking dog these Dogs are supposed to be even though They’re supposed to be beefy and and you Know really Uh You could say like intimidating looking They’re supposed to also be extremely Athletic which he is so we have every Manner of dog comes here and if you want To use this as just a One way to gauge the athleticism of a Dog and that’s just their speed this boy Will keep up with any dog here any dog So and that’s at 120 pounds he can
Hang with 30 and 40 pound dogs that are Sprinting around the backyard he hangs With them no problem So he’s at a really pretty good weight He was actually looking a little better I got a knee injury but I was running Him every day We’re doing anywhere from two to three Miles for him And he was doing pretty good with that So he was looking even more slim and Trim but we’ve been not able to run About the last three weeks so But he’s got some beautiful definition In his hind legs let’s see if I can show You I don’t know how clear the The signals are but He’s got really nice Chunky back legs No we don’t have scent course it might Be something we do in the future We have people asking for that actually What we’re filming now is a laser course Um That I’m pretty excited about how to Teach your dog Um To laser train your dog it’s not really For for pet dogs you could do it as a Fun game but it’s more of like a thing We do in police work are you doing Special Forces to train your dog to Follow a laser Pinpoint accuracy and put them wherever
You want them then we combine that with E-collar work teaching them for instance Uh how to how to down via vibration and Or you can go even Next Level and hook Up uh communication equipment on your Dog and you can communicate to them one Two three four hundred yards away Get them to sit down do whatever you Need them to do at distance so the whole Point of that is you can stay behind Cover Laser a dog out maybe let’s say to the Corner of a big backyard and if you want To clear it of a bad guy you can do that Without ever having to expose yourself There you can send your dog on a mission To handle business and then down them in Position and move up if you need to so Pretty cool thing we’ve been working on For a while in fact Echo here uh is a Doberman who you’ve seen a minute We’re starting to laser train him so He’s doing pretty good with it yeah so I’ll take Echo and then maybe you get Him And put him inside they get cooked out Here in the Sun so easy give him a Little bit of water though please Foreign Yeah for bite work And uh for If you’re in Alaska with a husky on one Of them sled teams Just waiting for him to pee if he wants
To pee Like that That’s awesome it’s an amazing career That you could literally start at 13 Years old My daughter right there if she wants to Come over here Bring me them goldfish girl She’s only six years old and she’s Already pretty good Thank you And my hope is yeah when she’s 13 she’ll Have her own clients already Um training her own dogs helping people Train their own dogs That’s a fantastic uh Career Because you can do what you want with it You could You go as small as you want as big as You want and then there’s so many other Uh And I’m sorry because I’m talking but Nobody knows what we’re talking about Because you’re throwing out the question But somebody was asking if they’re 13 Year old kid uh could or should or wants To be a dog trainer and I’m saying that I think it’s a Well I do it I love it It’s got a lot of perks you could do it Anywhere you meet a lot of people and You can go a lot of different directions With it whether you want to train
Service dogs or you want to train pet Dogs or you want to train sport dogs you Want to train just Dobermans like you Could build a career just becoming a Professional Doberman dog trainer Um a lot of people come to us with their Connie courses just because I own a Couple Um little do you know like If you can train a Corso you can train a Chihuahua if you can train a chihuahua You can train a corgi it’s not that Different And they all have their little quirks Like he’s a little space cadet this one Here But All right That depends on what you’re trying to do Prong collar or a slip lead is what the Question is and it really all depends What you’re trying to accomplish we like Prong collars a lot Uh but we also use slip leads for sure So You want to work him a little bit Tell him to Go down good boy Tell him to sit And if he doesn’t sit what do we do with That leash That’s right good girl Once you walk him around in a little Circle let’s see how he does for you
