We are here at the home of Tristan wurfs He is an amazing offensive lineman for The world famous Tampa Bay Bucks and we Have the opportunity to train his dog Blue who is now a five-month-old Connie Corso walk right towards me pressure Pressure good job yeah we just finished Up a six-week boarding train with him And now we’re here to drop him off this Is what we consider our take-home lesson How to get a 320 pound guy that kicked My to follow me around without letting Go we teach him how to heal we go over Everything the owners will need to take Him through the rest of his life to Maintain and even improve his obedience Forward [Music] You ready You ready What’s up guys what’s up how are we Doing good go see your daddy going What’s up My big balls My big boy What do you think of the Jersey pretty Cool yeah It might only last another week or two Before it grows out of it but yeah Oh he is happy to be home huh yeah Oh we do good man how’s it been oh not So bad I’m worried today is really about Teaching you how to use the e-collar uh He’s a really really good dog like one
Of my favorites so I’ll keep them if you Guys don’t want to decide you don’t want Them now we’ll usually start with a walk Just to burn up that energy and we’re Gonna show I’m basically I’ll showcase You what he’s able to do off leash right Here in your driveway yeah we’ll burn up A little bit of his energy because when We come back inside we have to give him A job to do which is to hang out on his Place board you guys have a place for it We got those two we got two of them Perfect blue come on So all doorways just really started Getting a habit that he doesn’t shoot Out the doorway he must stop wait and Blue Sit good stay this all doorways in and Out because if you don’t have this You’ll have the opposite of this and That’s 140 pound dog bulldozing his way Out the door Stay Wait for him to look at us which he is And we said okay He’s in heel with me now once we get to The grass Free he’s free dog he can do what he Wants just try to give the dog a lot of Jobs to do we’re able to take him to Open Stone restaurant because we gave Him a job to do downstairs Uh heal with me to the Beer spot come Back
Um if you don’t give him a job he’ll Find a new job yeah that could be Digging chasing things We want him to have a good time but at The same time we need him to have a job To do So obviously a lot of work needs to be Done on the walk he’s going to choke Himself on that call or any other flat Collar blue heel Oh yeah boy Down Good his down stays really nice I mean Really nice especially for a puppy left Turns right turns if I come to a stop His job is a stop wait sit next to me he Sits that’s great if I want him to heal I like to touch his nose or at least a Parking brake okay now we’re healing When he’s in a downstay I don’t like to Walk over here and call him yeah I want To touch his nose every time now that’s Predicted Behavior I didn’t touch his Nose yet blue come here Blue down so he’s predicting that I was Gonna touch his nose but you don’t go Until I touch your nose then you can Grow it’s little things like that you Let him get away with the little stuff Then that becomes Oh you know your stay means I can goof Around no he’s gonna test the envelope Just like little kids do they’re like Can I go and it’s how you deal with
Those mistakes that will Shape his obedience to come if you let Him get away with little stuff now it’s It it’s gonna you give him an inch they Take a mile that’s every dog we can give Him tons of attention and love and Treats and everything but we can also be Firm with him and let him know like this Is acceptable this is not acceptable When he makes a mistake immediately John I said no no and you fix it for instance If you told him to stay and he breaks The stage don’t let it slide take the Five or ten seconds to grab the leash Grab the collar use the econ and say bad Idea man bad idea this is what stay Means so we don’t want him setting up The rules we don’t want him making those Types of decisions just yet if you Follow the protocol And you’re very firm with him over the Next Um a few days and ultimately 30 days Guess what happens on the 31st day he’s Habitualized to the fact that man when Dad says stay like I have no choice but To stay if if every time I tried to like Skirt the system and find a little Loopholes He says Nope put me back put me back in Place I I can’t be you I can’t sound Like you I can’t look like you or sound Like you but he knows so we’re going to Let them know though that you guys also
Mean business with him and then he will Be wonderful tell him to stay stay When you’re ready you touch his nose Boop okay go there you go very nice job You guys are familiar with this we used This last time when you’re out and about Even though he’s off lease trained just Makes sense to always have a leash with You even if it’s not on him usually say It’s probably not for him it’s for that Loose dog you encounter it’d be nice to Like Hey you stay you hook this dog up and Say man get off my dog because this tool Is all about timing and levels timing And levels Um timing if he broke the stay at the Door And I had a leash hooked up to him from Then to now now is not the time to go I told you to stay back there you missed That boat by three minutes you have About a one to three second window at Best to correct the dog for failure to Comply your best BET’s like a half Second that’s that’s what they Understand half seconds that’s what this Tool provides those you can reach out And let them know from a distance Whether he’s doing right or wrong it’s Also a lot more Anonymous if you will Meaning the correction is not even Coming from you He has the ability to turn this on or

You know because if you don’t burn up The energy out here he’s going to burn It up on your couch and now that a car Is coming I’m going to demand very good Obedience heal and a little tap So one of the things you want to watch For He’s I call it the three stages of like a Heat stroke in a dog And puppies can get a lot easier they Don’t cool as well as adult dogs first Phase is panting second phase is that Shovel tongue you see how that tip of That tongue starting to shovel out it Can shovel even more than that once it Shovels so big and it gets so engorged With uh the blood going in there trying To cool him off that’s like his air Conditioning right there when it gets so Big and it kicks over stage three you’ve Got to put them up you gotta hose them Down Fine shade put them in the AC Whatever if he’s got too much energy Then that means his mental motor is up From zero to 100 if he’s if he’s Operating at 50 60 70 80 miles an hour Which luckily he the only time he gets a Little up is playing with another dog Yeah but he always maintains I’ve never Seen him get more than 50 or 60. but Still 50 or 60 the faster you go the Less compliance you’ll have with the dog That’s like you can’t control a car as
Easily at 50 or 60 as you can at 10 or 20 miles an hour right you can’t have That fine you’re not going to park a car In a parking lot At 60 miles an hour the other reason You’ll have less than desirable Compliance is when he’s out of gas so One is again if he’s going too fast he’s Got Too much gas in the tank full of energy You’ll have less compliance the other One is when he’s cooked that’s like I’m Asking you to come like you did there in The shade I’m like come on bro he’s like Just let me lay here you know you have To listen to me if you ask him to do Something He has to do it simply put it and the More he understands that he has to Listen to you then That’s just his life you know if you Want to take him up to the end of the Trees and back and we’ll call it down We’ll load him up because he’s cooked And I want you to we’ll also pay Attention to his tongue step off yep Heal That’s right yeah And he’s got to match your pace so Whatever your normal walk pace is that’s What you do come to a stop Yes and we pay him say good boy now if We had food Let’s see what his tongue’s doing stay
Look how shovel that tongue is See how it’s a lot wider hanging lower He’s getting pretty cooked you see that Thing kicking to the side He’s cooked man really cooked you go Beyond that he’ll he’ll pass out on your Heat stroke you got to take him to the Vet his his internal organs will start Cooking bad Yeah Um why don’t you take him back to the Front door same thing now this is going To be a little bit of a challenge for You air conditioning water inside his Sit Stay at the door Is gonna it’s kind of gonna go down that Doesn’t mean we allow it I know you’re Tired I’m you even when you’re tired you Must sit and stay yeah even when you’re Tired run the plate the way you’re Supposed to right make sure he runs the Play Just Right We’re looking for a grade a passing Score Okay nice job All right we’ll start at 100 kidding so First thing I want to do is make sure It’s on we’re on and then the very first Thing we do with puppies as we’re going To do with you is find the absolute Lowest level it’s not about being tough I want to work every dog on their lowest Level or every human the same thing oh There’s something

Without letting go we teach him how to Heal this is like the human equivalent Of healing it pays to be a winner it Pays to be a winner right and wherever I Go he goes why because that’s his job He’s now has a job to do I don’t have to Scream at you I let this do all this Streaming for me right now blue has a Job to do it he’s on his version of pink We happen to call it place You’re not allowed to come off you’re on A walk everything’s wonderful you’re on Your phone but this thing’s who knows What it’s doing it’s bouncing around and The last thing you want me to do is get Hit by you know a car first person to Boost wins and I’m gonna help you with This too I want you to develop a muscle Memory of both hands because you never Know how it’s going to get it two hands First one to boost me wins her it was Almost a time he just barely got you but It’s fast it’s fast all right ready go Speed up slow down change your direction And if he falls off that X at all a Little bit of pressure so what I was Trying to say too is it doesn’t always Have to be y-e-s with food you can just Sound good you can get like three Goods In and then maybe on the fourth one say Yes it’s just crazy how different he is Like when we dropped off like we Couldn’t like he would like sit Sometimes and stuff and

It’s been a long day here probably about Three to four hours of training to make Sure that Tristan can take this dog to The next level and maintain his Obedience going forward so we can get Him to sit sometimes and he would never Like come to us but now it’s like it’s Completely different it’s awesome his Attention healing with you is beautiful Yeah that was cool too anyhow um that’s It you guys did wonderful all right so We just finished training there with Tristan and his girlfriend Meredith and It was uh You know great experience as always blue Did phenomenal as we expected he would I Love the Cane Corso breed I still don’t Recommend them for most people Tristan Has the size and the strength to handle A dog like that plus we got him in early We trained them right we’ve socialized Them their recipe for success is to Maintain his obedience and continue to Socialize him so he doesn’t turn into a Monster right because Cane Corsos are Unbelievably protective dogs thank you To Tristan and Meredith for letting us Film this and thank you all for watching And guess what next stop Tom Brady so Let’s see on the next one Foreign [Music]
