Let’s talk about the three biggest Mistakes people make when they get their Brand new puppies so the first mistake So many people make is not socializing Their puppies from day one now Socializing isn’t as simple as just Making them meet loads of people and Dogs socialization is introducing them To every possible environmental Stimuli as possible whether that’s sight Sound smell or feels now these guys have Never experienced grass this is the First time they’ve ever played with Grass so i’m getting down here this One’s chewing my boots back here And we’re helping them have positive Experiences with new stimuli leading Them through the experience with calm Consistent and loving leadership to help Them understand that it’s okay and if They experience new things all i want Them to do is look up to me for guidance And direction and i’ll help them Navigate anything that we might come Across there it Is good This takes us on to our next tip guys And that is making the mistake of not Starting from day one look don’t get me Wrong these guys are absolutely adorable And they’ve had a really bad start to Life so it would be easy to feel really Sorry for these guys and to let them get Away with murder trust me all i want to
Do is smother them with love but because I want to set them up for success Because i’ve seen this mistake happen Time and time again we’re not going to Make the same mistakes with these guys You have to start from day one you have To be working on your obedience training You have to be working on your manners And you have to be working on your Socialization the second you bring that Dog into your home but most importantly You have to be working on your Leadership skills from day one and Building this new relationship With your new puppy from day one Being based on your loving leadership Where they look up to you for guidance And direction in all situations and in All cases and that takes me on to my Last mistake and this is an incredibly Important one and that’s not letting Your new adorable puppy do something That you wouldn’t let them do when They’re fully grown now that could be a Variety of different things but it is Unfair to your puppies To think that it’s cute when they’re Climbing up you being all adorable like This And rewarding them for clambering up Rewarding them for chewing on your Fingers but then in a couple of months When these guys start to grow and it Starts to become a problem then start to
Become frustrated with it that’s not Their problem that’s your problem that’s Not their fault that’s your fault you Would be inconsistent isn’t that right Puppy should we bring you over oh where Have you gone here you are here you are Belly robes belly belly Robes So guys make sure that you decide what Would be an acceptable behavior when They’re older and what would be an Unacceptable behaviour when they’re Older that informs what are acceptable Behaviors when they’re young and what Are unacceptable behaviors when they’re Young Be consistent rules boundaries and Expectations administered with loving Kind leadership from day one for the Rest of you and your new dog’s life and You will absolutely be able to have huge Amounts of success isn’t that right Little pup so guys thank you so much for Watching this video i hope those few Mistakes were useful and valuable for You if they were make sure you like hit The subscribe button if you are new here So thank you so much we’ll see you on The next episode [Music]
