Thank you All right we’re here with John and Mika At an undisclosed location somewhere in The beautiful Miami Beach area and we Have Kaya Kaya finally finished her Six-week board and train program here With us and this is a very intensive Take-home lesson so that we can teach John and Mika how to maintain Kai’s Beautiful obedience because they go Everywhere with her they travel the Country they travel the world with her And she has to be on her best behavior On and off leash so we’ll just be doing A little bit of a showcase after that we Kind of hand the keys over to John and Mika and show them what it’s like to Walk the dog off leash in the Neighborhood I know one of her biggest Things was reactivity towards other dogs I did spot a dog at the park down here So we will be making our way towards the Other dogs all right we are now off Leash so we’re going to walk down to the Scary dog park or area where there’s Other dogs we expect her to make Mistakes because she’s back in her old Stomping grounds where she actually Pulled Mika off her bike at one point Probably because she saw another dog or What was it yeah we still expect her to Make mistakes that’s why we do these Take homes in person we don’t just give You the dog back and say good luck she’s

Good still so obviously there’s still Some stress associated with it but we Have done nothing but socialized Socialize socialize her when we first Let her out with even just puppies Terrified like it’s a puppy it’s gonna Kill me now she’s like the leader of the Puppy pack still a little bit of stress But so just continuing to kind of do the Walk by the park make her sit down and Get her comfortable just kind of you Know continue to show her it’s fine and She keeps going it’s just it’s just a Conversation folks about her job is no Longer to be security guard and fend off All the evil puppies and dogs she’s got To relax a little bit you know and Eventually she can move back towards Like maitre d and she can greet them but Right now we just give her a job to do That’s the whole the whole point and her Job is to sit to down to walk next to me So she wanted to watch that dog but She’s also got to be like well dogs There I gotta stay with you I’ll just Stay with you don’t and I got her don’t Worry about the dog I gotta cover it That’s the name of the game night night And day difference though I mean she she Couldn’t have stayed here once from Before Because we can free her actually free Would be go do whatever you like but Okay is that yellow light you’re free
From this position but you’re going to Be following me and you can ask her to Heal and we can walk I would suggest Let’s Walk This Way okay so touch the Nose with your knuckles Yeah there you go Oh see that’s a good Integrity check and Now I would ask you to hold this just so You can hear what we’re doing if we need To apply any pressure okay And you want to definitely be as relaxed As possible And and it’s almost like you’re not Walking a dog your confidence Will increase her confidence and they Can definitely pick up on visuals of you Being stressed this is also for Mika the Smell of you being stressed a little bit Of an adrenaline dump like oh my God Here comes that pit bull or a loose dog We usually say that tension Travels down the lead I just saw Yesterday actually we were walking with Two rottweilers and a lady grabbed The leash and like choked up on it very Similar to as if it was like Oh my God we’re going in and now the Dog’s like what what’s coming so we’re Not gonna do that now we have to go like I got this i got this so whenever you’re Ready You have so much attention she’s paying You that’s what we want now I’m going to Simulate it for you
Stay Try not Ooh like a pro Good and we tell her a good girl and Ideally we don’t call her to us could She come to us absolutely but then your Stay starts to go down to the garbage Instead when she’s in a state we must Always go back get her release the Parking brake all right You tell her good girl good stay Yep when we touch that nose We’re Off to The Races again Show me how you could level up the walk Walk a little faster walk a little Slower anything you can do to make her Go like whoa dad’s changing pace You can even pick up more speed Yeah and then go really slow But see she’s got to really pay Attention And so we would ask that you do that in Lieu of necessarily like avoiding the Situation just get her on point before You even get into the situation one of The best ones to do is just an and Sudden stop to make sure she might blow This one stop See so she missed it got a little Pressure for it right and now she’s Going to be a little tighter going Forward all right when you have a dog That’s maybe dog reactor even a dog That’s not dog reactive they are seeing
Things that we’re not from a hundred Yards away if you’re walking towards Another dog for instance a dog rounds This corner and let’s call that 40 50 Yards away if 40 50 yards away that dog Rounds the corner the owner is probably On the phone looking relaxed but what’s The dog doing and what is she seeing she May see that dog around the corner and I’m going to give you the human version Of what a dog that’s got too much energy That’s a little not right This is what she’s seeing and then Mika Asks yourself what would you do if you Saw me and you didn’t know me but I Around the corner looking like this Yeah She sees that like yo dad why are we Walking towards that because that there Are dogs out there that come around with Their basically their chest out their Tail really really high puffed up Looking for a fight looking to let every Other dog in the neighborhood know I’m here it’s almost like a gang war it Sounds crazy but all the times that They’re peeing and marking their Territory they’re just waiting for the Chance to run into the opposition and Let them know who’s the boss it sounds a Little crazy but I don’t pay so much Attention to who’s walking the dog I Want to see how they’re holding the Leash and whatnot but I’m watching the
Dog’s behavior and I get as a Professional dog trainer I can see like Oh man that dog’s just asking for Trouble she senses it because they read Body language like nobody’s business you Might not be able to tell that that dog Shacked up but if I came around the Corner as a human looking for a fight a Hundred plus yards away you’d say that Guy’s either on drugs he’s drunk he’s Violent and you would avoid that we as Dog owners sometimes we don’t even pay Attention oh it’s a cute little dog and That’s a cute little dog looking for a Fight so just be mindful of that all Right we’re here with Las Vegas’s number One realtor this is rasmika Olmsted her Bioin will be in the link below but Check this out we got Kaya here which is Her dog one and a half year old German Ever and we just finished off leash Training with her and we’re going to Take her on a walk right now off leash And while we’re walking tell us about What you might do with her now that She’s fully off she’s trained and how That might go along with your business So typically I take her to the office With me every single day for hours at a Time and I also take her to all my Showings she does car rides with me with Other clients in the car you think she Helps with sales I think so maybe German Shepherd lovers will say you know what
