Some of those things might still happen But they’re way less likely because they Really understand that they’re not Allowed to jump up on you when you’re You know whatever sitting on the couch You know they’re not allowed to do some Of these things that you find Frustrating So How do you know if you’re being a great Leader for your dog you know generally What would you say A dog looks like when they and we see This in our students some students come In the classroom and we’re like they’re Going to do well this dog’s going to be Great so sort of big picture what do you See as a great leader We throw this word like often what i’ll Say to people which they probably don’t Get is i say wow you have such a great Relationship with your dog you use the Word relationship and you know We can easily understand that when we’re Talking about two humans but i think a Lot of people don’t understand what we Mean by that when it’s like a person and A dog because you know you’re sort of Thinking of course a great relationship I love my dog yeah um but we what we Mean by that is we really see a bond Between the dog and the person where the Dog seems genuinely interested in Pleasing that person there’s sort of a
Natural understanding of who’s in charge And who’s not and the dog’s almost like Adoring to the person in a way very Cooperative very Very willing very and not that they Don’t make mistakes they make lots of Mistakes because they’re not trained yet But there’s a little bit more of a Connection between the dog and the Handler and that can be really hard to Establish and typically We see that change in our students and Our dog’s relationship the further they Get through the programs because as the Training continues the dog starts to go Huh i’m seeing you in a bit of a Different light you’re pretty cool You’re going to give me a lot of Direction i can lean on you i can trust You i can let you do all the stressing And all the work and i can just sit back While my leader just takes control and Then Your relationship changes and it’s not Just of course you love your dog and Your dog loves you that’s that’s not What we mean it’s more of like um an Understanding and a respect and and A sort of different kind of love yeah Absolutely um somebody’s already Dropping a super chat and forcing me to Bring out the tutor already Linda edwards let’s uh i’m just going to Grab this so um let’s talk about before
We get to this question because this is A a good one and i think it’s something That a lot of people struggle with we Actually have a really good video Instructor carol did the video not that Long ago With different types of barking so i’m Going to urge you to check that out as Well linda but um maybe kale we can Start talking about this point one yeah So point number one is say what you mean And mean what you say and we talk a lot About follow-through in our dog training And this is a really hard one this is Something that um Especially like really Nice patient people have trouble with With dog training because they want to Give their dog like a bunch of chances And they want to you know say sit five Or six times or call the dog’s name a Bunch of times and what we don’t Understand is that dogs really truly can Learn to listen on the first command um And if we are Consistently in our interactions with Our dogs doing very simple things like Saying sit and the dog doesn’t listen And then we just say it again and we say It again and we say it again or if the Dog has like something in their mouth That they shouldn’t and you know we say Drop it and then we proceed to chase Them around the house and there’s no
Follow through for what you’ve asked Your dog to do and follow through could Be both positive or negative it could be Assisting them with using some food or a Toy or you know Physically moving their body or whatever It might be or it could be a correction Or whatever it might be but some type of Follow-through if that’s lacking it’s Just like if you have kids and you like Threaten to Ground them and then you never actually Do you just sort of say it um the dog Learns really quickly well i don’t Actually have to let this thing go Because you’re going to say it 10 more Times and then you’re going to chase me Around the house and that’s super fun Because there’s no follow through so Follow through of of saying what you Mean and meaning what you say can go Such a long way in your dog’s idea of Whether they should listen or not and of Course you need to teach them the how But just the um concept of Follow-through is something that most People really need to implement better In their dog training yeah and i think So many people are guilty of this and Tell me if you do this do you uh you Know let your dog out to do their Business and then you slide open the Door and you’re like okay scooter come On inside or you know come on in uh
Rover and they don’t come right away so You’re like geez well usually he’s Responds the first time rover come on Buddy come here scooter let’s go come on It just it’s over and over and over Again unfortunately your dog is learning All the time whether they’re learning The things that you want them to learn Or they’re learning the things that you Do not want them to learn so by not Saying what you mean and meaning what You say you’re really watering down what Those words mean and that is It is such a simple way to follow up With training It’s such a simple way to put a long Line on them or have a leash on them and Go and bring them inside if you don’t Get the response that you want but what You mustn’t do is repeat things over and Over and over again So point one is really important this is An important rule say what you mean and Mean what you say What this has to do with though is sort Of the bigger picture is expectation so If you don’t have a clear expectation of How you want your dog to listen to you Then it’s really impossible to have Follow-through so for us we expect if i Ask my dog to sit she should sit the First time i tell her to if i call her Name or if i say come she should come The first time and i don’t want to have
To say it in a mean or nasty way i want To be able to say come you know happy Light and have the dog willingly run Over to me that’s my expectation so Someone said can you give me more of an Example of follow through generally Speaking follow-through means if you’ve Asked your dog to do something That they know how to do and they choose Not to what are your next steps yeah Absolutely what are your next steps yeah And the follow-through is making that Thing that you’ve asked them to do Happen so that your dog can’t Dog doesn’t understand so Examples just pick anything pick Anything so make sure your dog does does What you’ve asked them to do but Bigger picture deeper thinking is does Your dog actually know how to do that Thing or are you just you know throwing Your dog off the deep end and you know Saying come but you’ve actually not Really trained them to do it properly or Consistently enough so you have to Remember that follow-through also means Like do you follow through or do you Follow through by helping the dog by Going to an early stage in your training So follow food doesn’t need to have a Negative um tone to it no it just means That we’re not going to ask our dog to Do that thing 800 times without them Doing it whether they are disobedient or
Whether they have i have no idea what That means we need to be doing something About it because we are their teacher Yeah it’s either a uh a training moment Or it’s a moment where you can revel in The fact that your dog’s made a a great Choice so think about it that way you Say what you mean you ask for whatever The thing is and you expect that your Dog’s probably gonna do it because you Uh you’ve you’ve worked on it you’ve Trained through it you know you have an Expectation that they know this and if They don’t if they fail you’re not going To test and test and test again you’re Going to get your butt in there and You’re going to help them to be right by Training through it so mean what you say Say what you mean really really powerful The next point which is also super Important and kale sort of alluded to This a little bit but put your dog in Situations Throughout the day where they’re less Likely to make the wrong choice you know Kayla had said that means you need to Know what your expectations are and you Need to know what your drug skill set is Absolutely there’s so often that we when We talk about leadership in dog training And being a great leader for your dog Where uh people think it means it’s Things that i’m actively doing to um you Know uh help guide the dog around or
Like the way i’m handling them but it’s Also what you know about your dog Understanding the level of understanding That they have Through all the different skills that You’re going to ask of them so if we Have a dog that’s Maybe reliable and we call their name And we’re out in a busy area and we call Their name but we’re not sure if it’s Going to happen we’re not setting that Dog up for a win and that is so Important we want to work actually i Just we just put out a video maybe it Was last week i think um with five alive Where he’s been great as we’re working On a long line and in an off-leash Situation we’ve been sort of Making our way forward with that and i Talked about uh the timing it’s Basically it’s a timing video and talks About a really interesting story from Many many years ago But understanding that he was probably Going to be successful in that video was Good leadership i put him in a situation I didn’t have other dogs around i didn’t Go into distracting environment i set Him up for a win that’s how you’re That’s how i wanted to be a great leader For him in that training environment in That situation that’s how you’re going To be a great leader for your dog you’re Going to be ready if uh you know
Something happens that you’ve got a Leash or a line i had a leash or a line And i was ready to train through it if i Didn’t get the results i wanted but to Be a good to to um You know really give my dog the best Chance possible he’s got lots of reps in You know we’ve worked on that before I’ve taken that leash off we’ve worked On that before i made it more difficult Because i wanted him to be right and i Set up the win yeah uh Ks 1961 ks was a super sticker Thank you very much that’s quite the Sticker it is quite the sticker let’s go To linda edwards question linda asks You guys are tooting awesome is there a Way of helping with demand or attention Barking sometimes there is biting or Nipping and it’s really hard to ignore So what’s interesting is there’s a few Things i think kale’s she she looks like On the edge of her seat it’s either the Back pain or ready to answer i’m Contemplating when i can stand up again Yes um but As we answer this all of these these Rules we’re going to talk about tonight Are so important for you Your dog will um You’re gonna set your dog up To be more right by following these Rules and it doesn’t sound like saying What you mean and meaning what you say
Would have anything to do with nipping And biting or with demand barking it Doesn’t sound like setting them up to be Successful is really connected to that But when you put those things together And you practice them regularly it’s Going to help what can we talk a little Bit about demand barking what may be a Good strategy for that yeah so and can i Wanted to say this earlier but what ken Had said is when you sort of work on one Thing it helps other things you know When dogs are doing things like demand Barking or nipping and biting they’re Usually doing like five or six other Things wrong as well so it’s not usually A if a dog’s perfect they have like this One problem that’s not how dogs work so Um linda look at the big picture and Make sure that you’re working on other Things that that you can fix as well Because it will sort of trickle over to This problem but i want to address just The last part of your um sentence and Sometimes there’s nipping and biting um Not that part but the in brackets really Hard to ignore so that’s your first step You’re not going to ignore those things Now what we do what we don’t want is Some if a dog’s demand barking at us We’re not gonna step up and be like okay What do you want me to do and let the Dog dictate like play with me now do This with me now but we also don’t wanna
Want to ignore it i know that’s a tactic That’s often suggested but in this Particular circumstance all of the Behaviors that you’ve listed are all Pretty self-rewarding behaviors for a Dog which means if you ignore them they Don’t care they are enjoying what They’re doing anyways because they’re It’s a fun it’s fun to bark it’s fun to To jump up at you so it doesn’t really Ignoring doesn’t really effectively help These things um Very quickly so you’d be much better to Address these issues you could stand up Tall with a leash in your hands and get Your dog to sit you could have them go And lie down on a bed you could ask them To do something that puts yourself in The driver’s seat you don’t have to yell Or scream or lose your cool or anything But i would stand up and take control And get the dog doing something for you Rather than the other way around it Could simply be hey knock it off go and Lie down tell the dog to do something That’s more obedient and again if the Dog’s like man i want to jumping up and Having fun well that goes back to number One there’s our follow through make that Thing happen that you’ve asked to happen Um once the dog’s then doing a behavior That’s more um Enjoyable for you Then show your dog affection then show
Your dog attention so your dog’s being Reinforced for better things so the idea Behind ignoring these behaviors is Because we don’t want to be giving our Dogs attention when they’re uh doing That thing but we don’t want to be Giving the dog rewarding attention we Want to give their dog productive Attention and then once the dog’s doing Something better then we can say okay Come on over and i’ll give you a chin Scratch or whatever it might be so um Don’t ignore address but make sure You’re doing it in the right way so this Brings up an important thing this is Standoffish yeah i’m so sorry i know What’s going on Good when we’re talking talking about um Being a great leader for your dog it’s Got to come in bits and bytes uh you Know and i don’t i don’t mean that in The literal sense but in bits and pieces Maybe is is uh the more appropriate Thing to say but um You it’s hard to be a great leader for Your dog 24 hours a day seven days a Week so you need to practice good Management when you can’t be there to uh Mean what you say when you can’t be There to put them in situations when They’re likely to make bad choices then You have to manage your dog better the So give you guys a bit of a backstory i Was 15 16 years ago i came to mccann
Dogs as a student i had a wild and crazy Black lab she was out of control and my Vet said listen you have to go over to Mccann dogs i didn’t really want to go Let’s be honest i wasn’t that excited About dog training until i got over There and i saw deegan my black lab Who’s still with us today um She started to transform she started to Change and one of the things that really Clicked with me was deb mccann cale’s Mom talking to me about what leadership Meant i was just letting her run rampant She had full run of the house i just Wasn’t making good choices for her and That was difficult for her why if she Could make all these choices on her own And she could self-satiate she could be Satisfied just doing her own thing why On earth would she listen to me because That’s work you know um It was so important for me to understand That i needed to manage her better and i Started using a crate two-year-old dog i Started using a crate And the transformation was remarkable Here’s what i learned about crates It’s a great way to keep your dog safe Uh you know i know a lot of people Struggle with house training and potty Training it’s a great way to manage that Because your dog’s chewing things dogs Chewing things it stops all of those it Doesn’t allow them to make the bad
Choices nipping and biting demand Barking Demand barking absolutely well that is Part that’s kind of where i was going With that is that the demand barking so Was it linda linda when When your dog’s out of their crate i Want you to engage with them you know You’re going to play with them train Them do stuff maybe even cuddle time but When you’re not being intentional about Your dog what your dog’s doing put them In their crate that way they can’t Initiate the demand barking they can’t Initiate the jumping up and nipping and Biting and here’s the great part the Thing that i really learned is that Deegan wasn’t really that motivated to Listen to me but When i changed things a little bit and Every time she came out of the crate it Was to me it was coming out to me so That i’d do something with her then It i could just see her be a little bit More excited about listening she was Just a little bit more interested in She’s like oh you’re somebody that is More interesting instead of being like Self-serving absolutely for sure because I would bring her fun things we would do Great things together and uh the crate Made a massive difference So understanding good management in your Dog training is going to set you up to
Be successful and believe me i see Another we’re sort of trying to deliver This condensed training plan and i see a Lot of people who have like nuisance Behaviors Start incorporating some of this stuff Figure out how you can get those wins Figure out how you can you know follow Through with the training or this you Know setting your dog up to be Successful and these nuisance behaviors Will lessen or go away it’s really quite Amazing i mean that’s why i’m excited to Teach you guys this because it it really Impacted me so much and then as an Instructor i would mention to one of our Students who is maybe struggling with Something like jumping up or you know They say oh she just goes totally nuts At eight o’clock at night we talk about Some leadership plans how do you how do You be a better leader for that dog and The dog comes back to class in two weeks Or a week later totally different Totally different completely it’s really Quite remarkable i like ann’s comment And let go of the crate guilt and i’m Wondering if you’re a student of ours Because we talk about great guilt a lot Right um In our training classes because a lot of People will say i don’t want to use the Grade i feel bad right we talk about how Great crate guilt is a human thing
Not a dog thing and it’s something you Gotta just Let go you gotta let go of it because They’re not gonna be in a crate for Their whole life this is during puppy Training and young dog training when our Dogs are teenagers and they don’t know How to make great choices for themselves Because they’re learning you can’t feel Guilty because once they’re trained you Can Hand them everything on a silver platter Should you wish to do so and you don’t Need to use a crate but A lot of people just they get rid of the Crate too soon and then you those are The people that have uh problems longer Yeah than the person who used a great Look our puppy for example we use a Crate all the time and five’s like six And a half months old And already he’s starting to get more Freedom because he just hasn’t really Had a lot of opportunity to make a lot Of poor choices because he’s highly Supervised and Sort of structured all of the time and So he’s just not really learned to do a Lot of bad things he’s not perfect he’s A puppy but he’s pretty darn good for His age and i attribute to that great Management good training and the use of The crate so he can’t be getting into Mischief when we can’t watch him it’s
Funny that you know also he’s so Adorable and so smart he’s very cute he But you yeah you also broke the rules With him a little bit early you know you Gave him a little bit more freedoms Because you’re a dog trainer and you can Do that but it’s because you’re getting You’re getting great results you know he Was listening he wasn’t getting into Trouble he wasn’t you know and i also Start to recognize that if things start To go off the rails even for a moment i Dial back and i up my supervision or i Change my leadership tactics whatever it Might be i don’t allow problems to turn Into big things so Because i have high expectations i have Good follow-through so all the things That we’re talking about if you Implement them it just makes life so Much easier um The amount of people that say things Like Uh oh i don’t know how you guys do you Always get a great Dog kale is a 21-time world champion of Dog agility with five different dogs Five different five different dogs Different breeds and different things Like wow you know how does kale pick Them And i’ll tell you uh i mean i do pick Good you do pick yeah you pick the dogs Very well but i’ve also had to work my
Butt off that’s right you’ve also given The dogs great information one of them Has been The same thing i’ve had to adjust New every single time for all of those Dogs uh chris and beth given me a reason To toot Let’s take a look beth asks discovered You guys a year ago nice any advice for Anyone wanting to become a dog trainer Uh Yeah Train your dog So that amount of people that want to be A dog trainer they haven’t trained a dog Often makes me have a good chuckle but Um if you want to become a dog trainer You need to learn as much about Dog training as you can And you need to learn about the Different methods out there and you need To be really true to your beliefs in Your methodologies you know we follow The mccann method that has been Um you know formed over 40 years and We’re always we’re always making Adjustments we’re always learning new Things we’re always um making sure that We stand behind you know the the core Root of of how we believe a dog should Be trained because there’s lots of of Options out there so i would say you Need to really know what you’re doing You need to have experience and um dog
Training is also a lot about uh people Reading people interacting with people Coaching people supporting people so a Lot of people want to be a dog trainer Because they like dogs and they don’t Like people but if you want to be a good Dog trainer You got to be great with people yeah the Other thing is we know i mean Uh it took me a year we’re in a unique Situation because you know In class you know we’re training 500 Dogs a week so uh when we do go through Our apprenticeship program as an Apprentice it’s about a year long we get To see all kinds of different dogs and Things but what is understood is that You want to be a little bit better Tomorrow than you were today so like Extracurricular learning you know asking Questions of dog trainers of people Around you watching watching yeah yeah Absolutely like you know communicating In these circles is so beneficial to Anybody who wants to learn about dog Behavior surround yourself with really Great dog trainers because you’ll learn So Much absolutely chris uh Our four-month-old puppy digs and barks In his crate when we put him down at Night we tried tapping the crate Praising him when he’s quiet but nothing Helps
There’s a couple things that i would Suggest chris um a question i’d have That’s why Sometimes the train station is difficult Because it’s rather one directional but Follow-up questions i would have for you Is how often is your dog in your crate And are they only in overnight when you Put them down him down at night and what Are you doing like two hours prior to The dog Yeah dan actually can you drop for chris Can you drop the um oh what’s it called It’s something like the nighttime Nighttime routine or training plan or Something for your dog because that’ll Be helpful but chris i want you to be Thinking about those moments when your Puppy goes into their crate late at Night you need to start setting that Nighttime routine up might be called Nighttime routine you need to start Setting that nighttime routine up but it Starts at dinner time it starts at you Know uh getting them ready you know Maybe that you use their food for some Of their training you know you do some Food exercises maybe you do some Physical activity right after dinner but You also plan to do it an hour before Bed you know and this isn’t it’s so Funny one sometimes when i talk about These things especially with people if People are lazy they’re like well it’s a
Lot i don’t want to do that forever well Exactly Exactly do the work now so that forever You won’t have to do it but you know go Out of your way to set up these two Physical training sessions in a night go Out of your way to You know maybe you’re out playing a game Of tug and here’s the great part is that Your puppy will also it’ll also spur on Those bowel movements Which i know a lot of people struggle With or even pee you take your dog out You have a little play session and then They have to go so they can go before Bed but um if you put the work in now You won’t have you know you’ll fix these Problems and you won’t have to do them Moving forward so it’s really really Helpful yeah i do think tapping the Crate is a good method um It is a good interrupter but again just Make sure you’re aware of like your Timing your kisses consistency um you Know it’s not just as easy as going up And tapping on the crate and then that’s Just that just works there’s got to read The dog’s body language your timing has To be good consistent where’s the crate Located there’s lots of different things But yeah i think that video that was Shared if you haven’t seen it before Chris um i think it’s actually going to Walk you through a lot of your questions
Yeah chris says he’s usually uh in the Crate an hour on an hour off throughout The day great so i don’t want it to be So tight i mean it’s not as important to Be time dependent but make sure the time Out of the crate is quality time so You’re doing stuff with him you’re Really engaging him because he should be Tired when he goes to bed that’s right Yeah yeah we um uh Um Our moderators just sent me a version of Our 24 hour training schedule or 24 Hours with your dog and that’s a great Example but and i know dan’s also shared The nighttime schedule which would be Great for anybody in here who’s got a Puppy So we are on to what are we on to five Four We’re on to number four oh this is a Good one and this is something that was Uh that i had do me a favor and not Highlight that because i don’t really Want to do is look at that yes for sure Uh Don’t give your dog food For no reason make your dog earn it and This I wrote this as a note so i know you’re So cute treats well you can you can do That but if you’re struggling when They’re sitting and looking at you when You’re giving them away
That’s a great example but really that’s A great example you know i want you to Be thinking about anytime i’m rewarding This puppy anytime i’m rewarding this Adult dog in training they’re earning This you know this moment is uh You know the the reason for the reward Maybe they’re sitting maybe you ask them To go lie down on a bed we we do this It’s funny we do a lot of interesting Things and i think after like oh we Should have videoed that but for example Five Now when we make dinner at home He’ll he’ll go run onto his bed he’ll Just go run into the corner and lie on His bed because we He earned every treat that he got so for Example we maybe with your puppy maybe At dinner you’re probably going lies on Their bed at you know while you’re Making dinner and you’re rewarding them Just for being there you’re tossing a Treat from three feet away yeah if they Maintain the whole time we make dinner Five’s on the bed in the kitchen with us We can see him um anytime we have to Open the stove on your bed make sure He’s on his bed so we wait so he’s safe With we opening the stove but we’ve been Doing it consistently since he was a Puppy that like he can’t wait to go and Lie on his bed he lays there with his Little paws cross he’s like hey hey guys
Check out check me out look what i’m Doing because there’s been so much Reinforcement there which is a lot Better than a puppy who’s trying to jump On the counter to steal food or just Getting in the other room while we’re in The kitchen not paying attention so it Gives the dog something productive to do With reinforcement it’s that i mean You’ve talked to you talk about this a Lot um we talk about this a lot when it Comes to students but We’re really We’re really setting our dogs up so that We’re not saying no don’t do that oops Hey get out of there don’t do that thing Over there you’re being intentional About what you’re doing with them what They’re doing and what you’re rewarding So try to avoid saying no so much that’s It that’s it for sure um so that’s a Good one and i thought we should uh Bring that up now next Get daily wins and what i mean by this Is putting your dog in situations oh Sorry is uh natural training Opportunities so getting daily wins There’s i’ll bet you if you off the top Of your head i’ll bet you that there are 10 training session training Opportunities that you’re missing every Single day and what’s so interesting About these training opportunities is That it’s not the formal like sit at
Your side or like you know sit in front These happen when you’re not actively Having a training session that’s exactly Right this is where your training your Formal structured training meets the Real world and in between there Somewhere is usually when things start To fall apart for people but these Natural training opportunities are the Are exactly in between the real world And your formal training because you’re Recognizing that for example You’re going to take your puppy uh uh Out for a pee You go out or your dog or whatever You know i Hesitate sometimes to say puppy or dog Because people think that they’re Totally different it’s not about the age It’s about the understanding so if you Have a dog in training that you’re Struggling with something Watch the puppy videos d-i-t Dog and training sure yeah you need to Think about that yeah well i just i also From i was gonna say dit but that’s not Good dit is better well i was thinking Like how can we add a t and a no to that Dog in training tony over if i was Calling on the radio Yeah you never know who you’re Communicating with right because you Want to say ditto yeah yeah that’s right Yeah
That’s where my brain went i can’t help It but these natural training Opportunities you’re taking your dog out For to go pee Well you know that maybe that Environment’s kind of distracting for Your dog and after they go pee they Often pull on their leash or after they Go pee they want to go sniff the flowers Or something well what if You proactively stuff some treats in Your pocket you know or had some had Their toy or you were ready with praise And pet or whatever they like so that After they did their business you worked A couple response to names this is where The rubber meets the road beat them to The punch absolutely yeah you you these Natural training opportunities here Here’s a very simple one going through a Door or coming out of their crate people Often say things like oh you got to be The alpha you know you got to walk out The door first so the dog knows you’re In charge whatever only people like that Talk like that think that yeah like it Was a bit of a uh uh what they call Potosis with a little bit you’re gonna Go surfing after that’s right maybe with The turtles maybe yeah that might be it Sorry to the surfers out there that was That was very yeah judgmental and and The turtles But what is so interesting
What is important about that is uh that Is actually a good um routine to get Into but it’s not because you got to be The alpha it’s about having your dog do Something work for something of value so In this case maybe your dog loves to go Outside maybe your dog loves to come Bursting out of their crate well if you Get them to put in a little bit of Effort for you And as a result they get something they Want that starts to become the habit That starts to become the pattern they Start to understand that well it’s worth Listening because i’ll get something That i want in return and you know i’m Making it a little bit more complicated Than it is but maybe it’s as simple as Asking for that sit getting it and Opening the door your dog remains in Position you can maybe reward them with Food maybe that’s a great choice for Your dog but it’s not absolutely Necessary if you have a dog that loves To go outside if they remain in position Maybe you stepping outside and then Allowing them out with your okay or Break or whatever that word is number One let’s your dog know that You’re you’re paying attention you know You haven’t forgotten about them you’re In control and you’ll let them know when They’re allowed to get up but number two That if they work just a little bit just
A little that they’re going to get Something that they love yeah and that’s Such an important step and for any of You guys that are struggling with Nipping and biting Demand barking is a great example you Know these nuisance behaviors that Have to do with interacting with you These leadership tips are massively Important and it doesn’t you don’t think Like uh you know what does that have to Do with biting this is the stuff that Really makes a big difference it’s not Just what you do when it happens it’s Everything surrounding that so really Keep that in mind Uh what do we got what’s point number Six Controlling the resources now this is uh I mean this is the definition of An alpha for you know people that are Always talking about the alpha thing but Really that’s what an alpha does is they Control the resources but what we’re When we’re talking about controlling the Resources This is a little bit more about uh Allowing Letting your dog know that they can’t Just choose whatever they want they Can’t just do whatever they want that Good things come through you yeah not From you through you so they’re making Great choices they get something of
Value through you yeah but you know it’s Not that you are a treat dispenser no And it’s not like you’re the only one That’s tall enough to get their favorite Toy off the fridge they’re offering Something that you like they’re earning That reward because you’re controlling The resources Yeah it’s also about teaching your dog Not to be self-serving so that they feel Like it’s a more important thing to do Things for you so things that your dog Really likes doing You should find a way to incorporate Yourself into that thing it literally Could be something simple like Getting up and sleeping on the couch um You’ve probably heard a lot of people Say oh you should never let your dog on The furniture You can absolutely let your dog on Furniture if you want to but that’s a Perfect opportunity for you to work in Some permission if the dog’s just Jumping off the couch and running around And being a hooligan i wouldn’t let that Dog open the furniture i would make the Dog stay on the floor until it’s been Given permission and is behaving well And then as a reward or as a luxury you Can say you can get up on the couch but I want to have the ability as the owner To say yes you can get up or no you need To get off anytime i want with no
Questions asked on the dogs that would Be a privilege Um you know food rather than free Feeding your dog or giving your dog free Access to like we’re not big fans of Doggy doors for example so that i want My dog if they want to go outside i want My dog to come to me first so that i’m In charge of what my dog going outside Because outside there’s all kinds of Things they can do wrong there’s also All kinds of things they can do to Self-reward themselves which means i now Become if my dog can be so Self-efficient at home Why am i important why am i important if My dog can sleep comfortably play Whenever they want to go outside Whenever they want to go anywhere in the House where do i come in then Then my value lessens so i need to look At the resources that my dog needs and Wants in the home and i need to control Those things and i don’t mean in like a Jerky way or whatever this is in a A way to teach your dog to view you Differently as somebody important so you Know i have no reservations about You know It’s really important that your dog is Able to think on their own yeah and be Confident and be you know uh whatever You know able to function without you However if you’re struggling with
Anything if the dog’s in training they Ab these these should absolutely they Should be your goal your approach yeah These are you know you can lessen later That’s right exactly yeah that’s they’ve Earned that freedom you know that you’ve Given them that opportunity because They’re making better choices and i Think this is really where people’s idea Of dog Uh ownership understanding training Falls apart yeah if you think oh you Know i don’t want my dog to be a robot Yeah absolutely not no but if you’re in A busy environment and you tell your dog To come they need to do it when you ask Yeah and the best way yeah anyways i was Just going to say Learning to come when they’re called in That environment is the same thing like Them getting off the couch when you tell Them yeah exactly if the dog doesn’t Think they have to drop that thing in Their mouth running around the house if Your dog doesn’t think they have to stop Digging a hole in the yard or if you Don’t think they have to listen in those House resourcey ways why would they come To you why would they not why would they Stop pulling on the lease right yeah Because they themselves yeah they’ve Learned through their everyday Interactions that they can just do Whatever they want to and you can have
Different sets of rules like ken and i Have Several dogs Quite a few dogs and our dogs within Their little pack they have different Sets of rules with us our puppy has very Different roles than our older dogs Beeline my border collie she can get on Whatever bed and whatever couch and Whatever blanket she very well pleases Anytime she wants because if i ever said Hey b come on off the couch and i said It that sweetly she could okay then She’d come right away because she Listened so well i i I would give her everything plated in Gold if i could because she’s so good Where the puppy hasn’t earned those Rights yet he doesn’t know how to listen That well yet because he will get there One day so you can change the rules Based on your dog’s behavior and you can Open them up you can also take them away So if things are going well and you’re Like wow my nose being a bit of a dink Right now Tighten up the rules take away some of The freedom you know control more of the Resources until things settle out and Then give them a couple of those Freedoms back until you don’t have to Worry about it i think that’s a really Good point i think it’s a great takeaway For for you at home tonight because um
People it seems like two things i see Happen often people say my dog is this Age what should i how should i train This thing or they say uh well i mean We’ve already started when can i stop Using my crate right yeah Off leash absolutely it’s it’s not it’s Not like you know there’s there’s it’s Dynamic there’s ebb and flow and your Dog starts making bad choices you’re Gonna set them up to be right you’re Gonna manage them more this is this is The key guys this is how you get con the Connection with your dog where you go Out you win 21 world championships or You have a dog who walks nicely on leash You know who isn’t demanding cottage and Let them go swimming on the dock and not Be afraid they’re going to like take off After somebody absolutely you want to be Able to do fun simple things with your Dogs and feel confident about your Control over them so that you can let Them be free and be a dog and enjoy Themselves i really like angry Adventures uh comment dog door makes so Much sense light bulb moment for me Sounds good um i also saw a great Comment from erica anderson she said uh That’s how i taught pumpkin pumpkin Basically uh everything those Five-minute potty breaks were everything Yeah yeah absolutely and um i mean we’re Going a little bit off the rails here
But uh the reality is we’re teaching Our dogs to live in our world they don’t Naturally want to walk at our side they Don’t naturally want to sit in position In front of us it’s not a natural thing For them or lie on bed for 15 minutes That’s right absolutely that’s not you Know these aren’t things that the dog Naturally wants to do so we have to set Them up That’s right and what’s so fascinating And the thing i love about dog training And when you see it happen it’s very Exciting is when you finally uh give the Dog enough good information that they Start to choose that first they you can See them excited about these ideas you Can see them excited to listen to work It’s really amazing and then you see the Relationship with the owner i actually Had this situation to happen yesterday i Went for a walk with um a friend of mine Who has five alive’s sister and so we Were walking around the property Together and we were letting the puppies Run and have some fun and we were Practicing calling them back every Couple of minutes and having them sit And morgan called both my puppy and her Puppy to her had them sit gave them both A treat and then started walking her Puppy started walking and we walked like 10 steps and i turned around and five Was still sitting
In the position that we had left him And uh Both morgan and i were like oh like what A good boy because he was like are you Gonna release me and the reason why he Did that is because he He’s that’s been the repetition all of The time i have now taught him that Sitting for long periods of time is Rewarding it was a rewarding enough for Him with the possibility of maybe Getting more rewards when two people and A dog walked away he chose to sit there Because there’s been so much value for That behavior and i know it’s a simple Behavior but the same process can go With things that are far more Complicated yeah Great Great Uh earned opportunities that’s rule Number seven dogs need to earn their Freedoms they need to earn we’ve talked A little bit about this yeah we kind of Did yeah um you know they need to earn These things um People feel the crate guild’s a great Example people I think the problem with most dog owners Ship you know struggles is People aren’t intentional enough with Their dogs you know Um it’s certainly something i wasn’t Intentional enough until i went to
Training and i realized like oh man you Know i need to be doing more with her You know i need to be intentional about It because then we get back to the house And she wants to lie down you know she She is satisfied because we’ve uh played Fetch we’ve done Engaging things with me Um before i you know uh get frustrated With her barking out the window Because we have to set our dogs up to be Successful and this is a really uh Important part of your dog ownership That Your dog earns the opportunity to be out Of the crate your dog earns the Opportunity to be up on the couch as Cale talked about they need to earn These things It’s not there you know it’s it’s a Privilege it’s not a right it’s a Privilege and when you control some of These things a little bit more you start To see All of the points that we’re talking About tonight they get better you know All those nuisance behaviors they get Better as well so make sure that your Dog you know is at a point where they’re Likely to be successful before you left Them up nipping and biting is like super Common one people say oh he goes totally Crazy when we bring him up on the couch You know i just want to snuggle with him
But as soon as i lift him up he bites my Face that’s right yeah question number One why is the dog out by your face yeah That’s right but but we understand that You know Your dog needs to give you some Indication that they’re ready for that Kind of thing because it’s not really Fair to them to over face them with that Kind of challenge your puppy just wants To nip and bite and play you know They explore the world with their mouths So when you bring them up by your face And they’re all really excited and They’re starting nipping and biting you Well you set that up you know you Inadvertently set up that dog to fail so Make sure you are aware of that i found The solution to my back oh what’s that This blanket oh okay it holds me in the One position that doesn’t hurt oh that’s Good all right Now i just look like i’m hanging out but Really it’s because I feel less pain this way yes well you Know i’m glad that it’s working Um oh bobby Clifford dropping the super chat forcing Me to two Bobby asks how do you gauge how much This is a great question how much how do You gauge how much exercise is right for Your dog to use up unwanted energy my Burner is a bit of a is a bit aggressive
Is a bit of aggressive behavior when Frustrated And or bored Um [Music] I sort of sees like two different Questions yes So how do you Gauge how much exercise is right for Your dog um That can be a challenging question to Answer because you do want to be careful That you don’t Uh build a lot of tolerance for your dog By only doing high-energy things so one Of the best ways to to tire out a dog or To get the dog to a better state is to Do a combination of physical and mental Stimulation um because sometimes people Will go out and they play frisbee with The dog and they do like 10 throws or Whatever and they do that every day well Pretty soon your dog’s like really good At 10 throws and to tire them out you Have to do 15. and then after some time To tire them out you have to do like 20 Because the dog starts to build Tolerance and then you bring them inside And you think why are you still so Annoying and energetic i literally just Threw the frisbee for you it’s because You’ve you’ve built up a tolerance but If you do something physical and then You also do things that require the dog
To have to think have to problem solve Especially for a dog that is frustrated Or bored you need to be giving this dog More of a job to do that is uh that Requires some thinking problem solving Trick training um anything that can get Your dog using their brain so that They’re working for you is going to Satisfy um some of those things um and Sometimes on the flip side to what i’ve Just said is sometimes dogs can uh Portray those behaviors when they’re Over tired because you’ve pushed things Past the limit or maybe they should have Been in their crate like 45 minutes Before but you’re still letting them Sort of hang around the house and now They’re so over tired that they get into Mischief i’m not excusing the behavior They shouldn’t be doing that in the First place but you could uh prevent it Better by just making better management Choices um to stop that from happening You know i like to refer to it as the Thinking sandwich And when i go out to train my dogs oh my God and they’re in training we’ll start With some uh actual food flooring again You’re literally looking at yourself on The monitor and laughing at how funny You think you are just so stupid it’s The dumbest thing i could have said but It’s so funny the thinking sandwich So essentially and we do this we
Actually show this in um That nighttime routine uh video that Nighttime routine uh where we’re setting The dog to be successful overnight we do This we do food like food luring and Like some mental stimulation activities Then we go into some Energetic active you know restraint Recall some tugging all that kind of Stuff and then we finish with more calm Relaxed exercises whether that’s some uh You know luring stuff or maybe it’s Gonna lie down on your bed but that Thinking sandwich is a great way to like Bring your dog up burn off some of that Energy and then bring them back down Again um it’s really important to know That your puppy may be overtired and They’re going to make worse choices They’re also going to be terrible at Training yeah know you need to know that Threshold when you’re like oh boy this Has gone downhill fast so um really pay Attention to uh to to those exercises he Says thanks that’s really helpful he Loves agility training i’ll have to add Some brain games and not just exercise Yeah rose prem also dropping Thinking Okay i think rose’s question thank you For the super chat um my puppy is often Not too interested in eating how do i Get him to eat better This is a difficult this is a hard one
To answer without asking you more Questions because there’s so many Reasons why a dog could be disinterested In eating so i guess we can just fire Off some of the main The main reasons but there could be more To it um [Music] Sometimes the dogs aren’t interested in Eating because of how they’re fed so if You um are free feeding your dog for Example by putting the food down and Like letting your dog choose and graze On the food that often diminishes the Value of food and doesn’t allow the dog To be as hungry so it’s much better to Meal feed your dog um you know most dogs Really should eat their meal their Breakfast within a couple minutes that’s That’s what normally happens with a dog Um so make sure your Meal feeding would be one um Also think about where you’re feeding The dog i know we’ve had dogs in the Past that have been pickier eaters and They’re much better when they’re in a Quiet place with less distractions less Going on Feeding them in the crate rather than Just loose in the kitchen or wherever You’re feeding them where there’s more Going on that sometimes can be helpful As well Examining what kind of food that you’re
Feeding the dog be careful that you’re Not like adding all this extra stuff to It and using treats because then the dog Just comes to expect those things all The time Obviously there’s the health thing make Sure there’s nothing wrong with the dog In terms of sickness That’s actually another reason why it’s Really good to meal feed your dog Because if you do get them on a Consistent eating pattern and your dog Doesn’t eat for some reason like if one Of our dogs don’t eat right away we’re Like okay something’s wrong yeah um so For health reasons that’s that’s Important to do as well um make sure You’re not over feeding the dog yeah Anyways the list goes on Um i like this question we can apply it To a lot of the stuff tonight isabelle Hollyland can you do uh can you guys do A video for training a dog who has a Short attention span now we We do we have lots of videos where we Have a puppy who’s never met us before But The child i think the thing that people Is lost in translation and because they Don’t know who these dogs are like who We are uh they don’t recognize the fact That a dog like that we’re gonna follow These one these nine rules you know We’re going to say what we mean and mean
What we say so if we’re working on sit We’re gonna make sure that that dog Learns how to sit we’re gonna make sure That that dog responds to name whether That’s you know rewarding them for the Great choice or training through it We’re also not going to set the dog up We’re going to put the dog in a Situation where they’re likely to win Where was that number three Uh two We’re gonna set this dog up where They’re likely to win so we’re not gonna Go out of our way to Wait too long before rewarding we’re not Going to go out of our way to put them In a situation where they’re likely to Fail we’re going to be really careful About those things so They if you have a dog as a bell that Has a short attention span you’re going To have to figure out what’s that amount Of time that i can get it that you know Get that focus for reward then break it Off so that the dog only understands to Listen and this is something that’s Going to build over time but you have to Start with a foundation of winning you Have to win yeah so really focus on that I can totally appreciate because i had And we have had and we help people all The time with dogs with a short Attention span but they don’t really Have dogs don’t really have a short
Attention span it’s that you haven’t yet Figured out how to motivate the dog and How to be valuable totally all kinds of Puppies and dogs have short attention Spans because they haven’t learned That they like learning with you yet Yeah absolutely so it’s not really like It’s not like oh this dog has a short Attention span but this dog doesn’t That’s not how it works that dog just Finds more value in working and Listening so that’s sort of where you Need to to start by some of the things That that ken has Suggested but try not to label your dog As a dog that has a short attention span Because that’s not the issue the issue Is that you just need to go about the Communication the interaction a little Bit differently timing is critical with That last example that we just talked About is a perfect example if we were to Go out with a Young puppy and we would ask him to sit And then we’re just gonna we’re just Gonna wait and wait and wait eventually That dog’s going to fail what we need to Work on at the beginning is showing the Dog that there’s something of value if They put in some effort so we’re going To reward them pretty regularly and then We’re going to start to like space it Out and maybe we’ll change up the Rewards but the timing of that is so
Important and when it comes to Leadership The timing of your fix so uh You know Catch your dog outside uh digging in the Yard and the dogs you know dug 17 holes That’s your mistake you come out for the 18th that’s right you know your puppy Keeps having accidents in the house That’s your mistake your timing is Critical here and to be a great leader You need to put in a little bit more Effort you need to have your eyes on Your dog if they’re out of their kennel If they’re out of their crate you can’t Let them sneak away into the other room Timing to fix a behavior a nuisance Behavior like having accidents in the House is so important in fact it’s great To catch them in the act once in a while You know if you can catch that moment You can tell them that this isn’t the Thing that i want with you ah hey hey That moment that interruption that’s What you need from them You know It’s so that that part of their Understanding is so important you know We we don’t want our dog we want our Dogs to set up set our dogs up for Success but we also need them to fail Once in a while so that we can show them That’s not what i want yeah and that’s Why your timing is so critical um
You know it’s just like you know you Probably heard a million times Especially if you’re uh You know a half-decent dog owner that You come in and the garbage is all Chewed there’s no sense in screaming Yelling at the dog or doing it doing Anything about it because the crime has Already been committed that dog has no Idea can’t connect those two things he Will say like oh well you know he knows What he did uh you know he looks good he Looks guilty right and he he he probably Does look like a specific uh dumb dog Trainer voice yeah yeah yeah well i also Have a dog dumb dog trainer look with a Long hair and oh yeah you need to bring That guy up you do um but your dog Probably is responding to how you’re How you’re acting because you’re angry And you’re being loud or your body Language tells your dog that’s something Something is up here i need to be aware Of what’s going on but it’s your Responsibility To have great timing this is a massively Important rule whether you’re rewarding Your dog or you’re trying to stop bad Things that you don’t like timing is Crucial guys don’t over look it Yeah Um 0.9 Focus on quality we’ve talked a little
Bit in the show about how people Have crate guilt and i get it you know If you don’t think you’re doing enough With your dog you might not be um and You’re worried about having craig deal You’re worried about a lot of work in a Lot of times absolutely 100 And but if you focus on quality time out Of their crate you know you are Intentional and it doesn’t have to be Training we’re not just talking about Training we’re talking about exercise We’re talking about snuggle time it’s Mandatory if you have a puppy yeah i’m Pretty sure that’s probably in you know Your agreement when you rescue yourself Get them from the breeder time together Yeah yeah but be intentional about that Time out of their crate that way you one Won’t be Your dog will be ready for sleeping your Dog will be ready to go lie down in Their crate when you get to the end of These um training interaction sessions But you’ve also you know i get it there Are times when you’re a puppy owner that You If things aren’t going right and you’re Like why on earth did we get a puppy why Did we get a puppy you know we hear we Hear at all time people are like oh my Goodness you wouldn’t believe what Happened this thing and you know the Kids were yelling and then you know kids
Were fighting and then all this other Stuff happened you’re like oh my Goodness why So What that means is that you need to be Folk be focused on the time you’re Spending so that it’s quality not just Quantity of time out of their crate So many so often We hear people say or see messages about How exactly how much time should the dog Spend in their crate well that depends Entirely on how good you are at creating Quality time and what’s your what’s your Lifestyle like for sure a lot of people A lot of people that work a lot Typically have The dogs are better because they’re Forced to have to put the dog in the Crate while they go to work it’s the People who are home all the time usually Have the worst behaved dogs because they Give their dog so much freedom because They’re home when they don’t need to Have a lot of rules but um you know the Quality time is really important and you Know in our programs we teach a lot About like if you have 15 minutes And that’s all you have you know until Your dog has to go back in the crate for Four hours because you have to go to Work or whatever or whatever it is what Do you do in those 15 15 minutes to like Really affect change because going for a
15-minute walk that’s not going to do it Somebody had asked before about tiring Their dog out so you know we give you Ideas on physical and mental training so That 15 minutes is more than enough time To tire a dog out before putting them in A crate for a couple hours for you to go And do your thing but you need to know Um what to do with your dog uh in order To in order to tire them out In a good way and tire them out in a Good way so that when they go on their Crate they feel satisfied they’ve had You know they’ve used their body they’ve Used their mind they’ve had you know Some play they’ve had a drink they’ve Had a poo they feel great right put them In their grate and then you can knock me Things are started yeah they’ve had a Drink they’ve had a poo they’ve had yeah The poo’s important and then you can you Know put them away and and you can do Your own thing and then get them out and Rinse wash and repeat and do the whole Thing again the thinking sandwich Yeah i’m getting a t-shirt that says That i think we’ll all get sweaters it Makes me like it makes me feel like i Have a cotton ball in my mouth when you Say that yeah i don’t know why it gives Me like the I don’t know i like it Uh maybe it’s your back The nine rules that are going to
Indefinitely what i said maybe The nine rules that are going to Completely change your dog training Number one mean what you say number two Set up wins It’s so important you want to put your Dog in situations where they’re likely To make the right choices number three Good management boy oh boy does good Management make a difference whether That’s a house line a long line a crate Maybe it’s baby gates that can make a Huge difference in your training earn Rewards make your dogs put in a little Bit effort don’t feed them for nothing If they understand that they get rewards When they sit for example when they go Lie down on their bed with our little Puppy anytime we take out you know the Pots and pans over he goes lies on his Bed because we’ve taught him to earn Some rewards Get daily wins the natural training Opportunities that you’re going to Encounter every single day are the Bridge between your formal training and The exercises that you do in the living Room in the yard where you’re like well This isn’t that much fun i just want to Get to this point this is the thing That’s going to get you there these Natural training opportunities all kinds Of wins and if you’re jumping in late And definitely scroll back rewind back
To that part of the show because we talk A lot about some natural shapes you know Just watch the whole thing just watch The whole watch the whole thing Number six Control the resources this means you Know your your Good things come through you your dog Makes a great choice they get something From you maybe it’s even pet and praise Doesn’t always have to be food or reward Or food or toys Um but control the resources you don’t Have if you have a dog who’s struggling With nipping and biting you don’t have Four bully sticks out and you know Whatever so half a beef bone on the Ground you’re going to be really careful About what your dog has access to Number seven Earned opportunities we talked a little Bit about that a couple of times number Eight timing is critical whether it’s The right thing or the wrong thing your Dog needs to be getting the right Information so um sometimes having at The right time at the right time If they make a mistake that’s okay That’s part of the learning but you need To be there to tell them hey buddy That’s not what we want you to do let me Show you what i’d rather you do instead Timing is so important there and number Nine focusing on quality there’s a
Billion different things you can be your Dog could be doing out over the course Of the day but i want While they’re in training or while You’re struggling with nuisance Behaviors maybe it’s even just listening Skills focus on quality time manage the Rest of that time otherwise Uh i see justin whitney Dropping the super chat Justin says a four-month-old gsd uh Sleeps well at nights in her well later Crate but it has panic attacks For those of you don’t know yeah despite Acclimation training what else can i do Okay this is good so let’s talk a little Bit about uh how perceptive dogs are and What the triggers are that might be Setting your dog up to start into that Panic mode now it’s hard to know for Sure and understand the severity of this I don’t know if we should uh read into The question too much well it says well At night But i have panic attacks when i leave The house so i’m assuming you’re leaving The house during the day and your dog’s Crated at night so this could be like a Timing of the crate and where the dog is In the crate during the day thing yeah Yeah for sure yeah so make sure justin That you’re using your crate more often Um during the day Without your dog being able to see you
Right okay well i mean yes 100 yes i’m Just trying to think what’s the best Resource for for justin at this point we Have a couple of videos that we talk About when puppies cry and fuss in their Crate uh in general and often a great Solution for that is just working it Into your daily activities daily routine But um Also The there’s a good video maybe dan lots Of links can drop the recent video your Dog doesn’t have separation anxiety they Have this that might be good for justin At least it will allow him to uh Get a scale a sense for where his dog is At and some of the choices that he can Make with With that dog um with a female With Her her Um but another thing that i want you to Think about is what are the things the Five things that happen before you leave The house every day because i’ll bet you Your young german shepherd can identify The thing that happens just before the First thing and then they you know they Spiral and get more and more um uh Anxious about you leaving anticipate Because they can read your body language And they start to go oh he’s doing those Things that he does when he’s going to Leave
Now i need to start getting stressed About the dog about the person leaving Because i know it’s about to happen Totally so be conscious of that be Conscious of what are the things that I’m doing just before i leave the house Also because you have a dog that you Feel it gets stressy when you’re leaving Maybe you got to get up half an hour Earlier buddy get out there and you know Get the dog engage with you some Physical exercise maybe take the edge Off another thing i mean we’re just We’re throwing a bunch of solutions at You this is where our online training Programs are uh great because we can Literally talk to you about these things We can literally help you with your Specific situation with your video yeah It’s much more Uh Dynamic bi-directional i don’t know we Get to really understand what your dog Struggles with and what you struggle With but i’m going to give you a handful Of things that might be helpful the Other thing you can do is precede you Leaving with something of value for your Dog maybe that’s like a kong with like That you’ve put in the freezer overnight That’s got like peanut butter or Something in it or maybe her food maybe You put her kibble in some water in that Kong and you put it in the freezer
Overnight she sleeps restfully Apparently in her crate overnight then You get up in the morning you take her Outside you do something with her relax Her a little bit bring her back inside And then you give her her breakfast Inside this chew toy in her crate I think a lot of people They don’t they they think that Because their dog is so stressy that They should give them more space they Should give them more room they should Have You know what i shouldn’t put the baby Gate up because it separates the kitchen From the living room but a lot of times Dogs struggle even more when they have Access to that kind of space and it just Puts them in a different state of mind So check out the video uh your dog Doesn’t have separation anxiety They have this it’s gonna be helpful for You i think justin and uh thank you for The super chat Now we’re gonna have to dive in to um Some chiropractic treatments for kale Yeah for the rest of the show i mean she Like a champ she just Just trudged through it She’s gotta lean what if we were both Leaning like this you know how i did it I was playing with my puppy with the tug Toy and i got actually did get some Massage work done today and i think
That’s probably how it happened why Because She didn’t work on my back she worked on My hips anyways You don’t need to know that but i just Bent over to like grab the toy you know When you just like do the stupidest Thing like you’re not even lifting Anything nothing you just bend a funny Way yeah and it just like tweaked and i Was like oh No anyways yeah i just got back i was Off the track i worked as a firefighter And i was off the truck for almost a Month from a back injury that can’t Happen to me i have a competition i know I know yeah this needs to be very Short-lived so let me know in the chat Um i’m trying to convince kale that we Should go watch top gun tonight um oh i Would love to but i’m not sitting in a Chair for that long what if it’s a Recliner one at the vip theater Can i stand what if i sing Uh flying to the danger what if you Massage my back the entire movie yeah Okay I don’t know how would you do damn i Thought he’d say no flying to the Okay i think uh i’m excited about where You guys are right now with your level Of understanding um i look forward to Seeing some of the comments on our Videos to hear how well you’re making
